BI Publisher 11g: Enable Local Superuser

Version: Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.5.0
Description: This post shows you how to enable a local superuser for BI Publisher.

Step 1:
Login to the BI Publisher Enterprise console (E.g. localhost:9704/xmlpserver).

Step 2:
Navigate to Administration -> Security Configurations.

Step 3:
Check "Enable Local User" and fill out the credentials for the superuser.

Step 4:
Restart the BI managed server.

This is the BI Publisher log in page. Enter your weblogiv user credentials.
Login Page


This is the BI Publisher home page. Click the administration link on the top right of the page.
Click Administration


Under the security center section, select security and configurations.
Click Security Configurations


This is the security configuration section. You can enable the local super user in this section.
Check Enable Local Superuser


After enabling the local super user, you will have to restart the servers.
Apply and Restart Server
