Export and Import MDS Using EM Console

Description: MDS can be exported and imported via EM console. The export / import utilities in EM console can be used to backup MDS, to migrate all the customization done on the Identity Self-Service and Identity System Administration User Interfaces (E.g. User Form, Application Instance Form, User Profile, etc.), and to apply MDS configuration changes.
Tested On: OIM 11.1.2.2.0, WebLogic 10.3.6

Prerequisites
The Admin and OIM servers must be running.

Export MDS
1. Log in to EM console (http://<HOST_NAME>:7001/em).

2. On the left pane, navigate to Farm_<DOMAIN_NAME> -> Application Deployments -> Internal Applications -> oracle.iam.console.identity.self-service.ear(V2.0) (oim_server1).

3. On the main pane, click "Application Deployment" and select "MDS Configuration" from drop down menu.

4. Export metadata documents. "Export metadata documents to an archive on the machine where this web browser is running" option packages the metadata documents in a zip file. The "Export metadata documents to a directory or archive on the machine where this application is running" option  either packages to an archive file or produces a directory (extracted version) depending on what is specified as the path.

5. Repeat steps 3-5 for Farm_<DOMAIN_NAME> -> Application Deployments -> Internal Applications -> oracle.iam.console.identity.sysadmin.ear(V2.0 oim_server1).

Import MDS
1. Follow steps 1-3 in the "Export MDS" section. You can apply the MDS configuration changes for "oracle.iam.console.identity.self-service.ear" and "oracle.iam.console.identity.sysadmin.ear".

2. Import the metadata documents into your environment.
